Accelerating To Forever
Hello dear reader,
I hope this finds you drifting like the summer’s bee towards the solstice, humming and serene. This comes to you from a darkened room where I cogitate before dawn, pondering my next move.

Electric music - rock’n’roll - to me, is demonic and I relish playing with this combo of talented musicians. This run has Patrick Berkery on drums, Todd Bolden on bass, and Rick Lollar on guitar. We’ll also by joined by Jeremy Fetzer and his Telecaster in Philly, Jersey City and Boston. We’re playing songs going from Underwater Moonlight all the way up to my latest record The Confuser. For many years, I’ve mostly toured solo acoustic, but it’s great to rock again while I’m still swaying upright. I savour the unhinged currents of electricity flowing from my fingers, to my guitar strings, to my amp, to your ears - the key to psychic abandon unlocked in the mind and body. Yaysville!
2026 is turning out to be a busy year for me. The Confuser lands on July 24: the album is a rocking celebration of chaos, spiked with a few love songs. A few weeks before that, my latest memoir appears on July 7: entitled Stranded in the Future it looks back on the chaos I surfed (and caused) on my way to forming the Soft Boys in the mid-1970s. I’ll be promoting these two artefacts for the rest of the year, in America and Europe. We have all eternity in which to not exist - now’s the chance to get things done!
The birds are chirping their hieroglyphic songs to each other and dawn lightens the sky. It’s time for me to crawl back into the cave of sleep for an hour. May the summer stars be with you and your headaches be few.
Love on ye,
Robyn H
